Oktoberfest in and around Green Bay

Tis the season! Beer, food, music, and fun! In fact, as soon as the leaves start to change I am pretty certain nearly everyone claims some German ancestry. The great news is there are still many family-friendly Oktoberfest celebrations left to enjoy. Let us know your favorite!

September 20-21

13th Annual Oktoberfest-Lorelai Inn (Green Bay) ::  Gates open at 3pm Friday with Weisundfreunds Brass Band playing until 5. Followed by The Cougars until 9-9:30.  Saturday gates open at Noon with The Greatest Hits Polka Band playing until 4 or so. Followed by Big Mouth and the Power Tool Horns around 5 until 9-9:30
 Food including a few different types of wursts,  hot pretzels, and of course our Oktoberfest soup!  Beers you ask? Lots of great Oktoberfest style beers including Hacker Pschorr,  Spaten, Hofbrau, Ayinger for German choices. And definitely supporting our local breweries we have Hinterland,  Badger State, Stillmank to name a few…

Lion’s Tail 4th Annual Oktoberfest (Neenah) ::  Live music, German-style beers brewed by Lion’s Tail Brewery and other local brews, food, and more! Gates open Friday at 3 pm and Saturday at noon.

September 27-28

Appleton Octoberfest :: If you love food and enjoy a cold brew, this is for you! Even better? Proceeds support local nonprofits!

October 4 – 5

Oktoberfest (Sheboygan) :: Head to Al & Al’s Stein House and enjoy German beer & wine, food, and dancing. Don’t miss the WIENER DOG RACES!!! Open October 4th from 4-10 pm & October 5th from 10 am – 10 pm.

Shawano Octoberfest :: Enjoy live music, food, beer, craft vendors and more!

 Northeast Wisconsin Craft Beer Festival (Resch Center) :: More than 200 beers, 50 breweries and unlimited sampling. Receive a sampling glass and have access to unlimited two-ounce samples of beer and light fare hors d’oeurves. See website for ticket prices. 3-6 pm.

October 12

10th Annual Oktoberfest (Crooked Lake/Lakewood area) :: Outdoor Craft Market, Free Pumpkin Decorating for the kids, Free Hayrides, Minnow Races for Young and Old, Beer Graden, Music by Local Favorite, Whitey! Pig Roast dinner served from 1:00 – 5:00, Roast pork, stuffing, sauerkraut, applesauce, german potato salad, baby red potatoes,marble rye bread and black forest cake! Raffles all day long!
