October 7 :: Fox Valley’s Tough Kid Challenge, Highlands Elementary. A 1.6 to 2 mile obstacle course with kid-friendly yet challenging obstacles. For all kids age 6 through 13 years of age.
October 7 :: Sanctuary by Starlight, Wildlife Sanctuary, 6-10 pm. Lighted waterfalls, luminaries on the boardwalk, viewing telescopes. Food from Skaligwags, music, and cash bar. $30/person includes food and entry.

October 11 :: The Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream Pumpkin Carving, New Zoo. 4-8 pm. This is event is FREE. Bring your own pumpkin and carving tools. Those who participate will receive free pizza and soda. The pumpkins will be used as decorations for the North Shore Bank Zoo Boo 2017.

The event provides a safe & fun environment for children with special needs to trick-or-treat. Country Inn & Suites and Hampton Inn provide rooms for local companies and organizations to decorate and hand out treats to children. Feel free to dress up, but costumes are not required.
