Holiday Parades

There are plenty of area parades and tree lightings to get even Mr. Scrooge in the holiday spirit. Email us at [email protected] if we missed your favorite.

Lighting Ceremony on Broadway-Green Bay

When: Friday, November 16th
Time: 5-8 p.m.
Where: Broadway Downtown Green Bay
Details: The official countdown to the illumination will be officiated by Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Hubbard St. Live music, sleigh rides and Santa.  Downtown businesses will be open until 8 p.m.


Christmas by the Bay-Tree Lighting, Sturgeon Bay

When: Friday, November 16th
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Where: Clock Tower
Details:  The fun begins at 6 p.m. with the tree lighting to take place at 7 p.m. at the clock tower on Third Avenue.  Enjoy free carriage rides and enjoy the charming shops of Sturgeon Bay.


The 35th Annual Prevea Green Bay Holiday Parade-Green Bay

When: Saturday, November 17th
Time: 10 a.m.
Where:  Downtown Green Bay.  Beginning on Jefferson St and continuing on Cherry and Washington Streets
Details: This years theme is “Holiday Stories”.


Christmas by the Bay-Holiday Parade, Sturgeon Bay

When: Saturday, November 17th
Time: 10 a.m.
Where: Downtown Sturgeon Bay
Details: Parade starts Sawyer Park and proceeds up Oak Street to Madison Avenue across the bridge to Third Avenue.  The fun continues after the parade.   Take the kids to the Door County Historical Museum for pictures with Santa.


48th Annual Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade-Appleton

When: Tuesday, November 20th
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: Beginning at the corner of State St. and College Ave.  Heading east on College Ave to Drew St.
Details:  This years theme is “Home for the Holidays”.


Lakeshore Holiday Parade-Manitowoc

When: Wednesday, November 21st
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Where: Beginning on the corner of Washington St and S. 12th St. and continuing on S. 8th St.
Details:  This year’s theme is “Christmas through the Decades”. Parade will take place regardless of weather.


Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony-Sheboygan

When: Sunday, November 25th
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Where: Downtown Sheboygan
Details: Kids, bring your letters to Santa! Be sure to include your name and address on the letter, so Santa can respond.  Tree lighting immediately following the parade at Mead Public Library.


Clintonville Christmas Parade-Clintonville

When: Monday, November 26th
Time: 6 p.m.
Where: Main St.


Kiwanis Christmas Parade-Little Chute

When: Monday, November 26th
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Where: Cypress & Main St.


Chilton Holiday Celebration-Chilton

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 5 p.m.
Where: Grand Street
Details: Santa will be on hand!


25th Annual Freedom Christmas Parade-Freedom

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Where: Startings at Freedom High School
Details: This year’s them is “Parade of Lights: Family Christmas.” ENTRY FEE: Non-perishable food donation to the Freedom Food Pantry, drop in bin at front door of the Freedom High School.


50th Annual Howard-Suamico Christmas Parade-Green Bay

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Where: Begins at Bay View Middle School
Details: This year’s theme is “The Golden of Christmas”.


Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade & Santa’s Visit-Oconto

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Where: Parade on Main St. to City Hall with Santa’s Visit.
Details: Vist with Santa from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at City Hall


Christmas Parade of Lights-Fon du Lac

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 4:15 p.m.
Where: Downtown Fon du Lac
Details: Santa will deliver his holiday greeting and light his very own tree! 


Holiday Parade-Omro

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 5 p.m.
Where: Downtown Main St.
Details: This year’s theme is “Christmas Around the World.”


Tree Lighting & Christmas Parade-Weyauwega

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Where: Starts at the Library on Mill Street and proceeds to the corner of Main and Pine where the tree will be lit.
Details: Head to the Gerold Opera House after the parade to visit with Santa and listen to the Weyauwega-Fremont Band. Hot chocolate for everyone!


Tree Lighting & Christmas Parade-Freedom

When: Saturday, December 1st
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Where: Downtown Freedom
Details: Theme: Star Light…Freedom Bright


Electric City Christmas Parade-Kaukauna

When: Tuesday, December 4th
Time: 6 p.m.
Where: Starts at Wisconsin and Depot, goes down Wisconsin to Hwy 55, then South to Third Street; West on Third to end at Reaume. 
Details: Cookies and hot chocolate with Santa at City Hall following the parade.


Downton Shawano Santa House and Parade-Shawano

When: Friday, December 7th
Time: 6 p.m.
Where:  Main St.
Details: Visit with Santa, in-store specials, free horse-drawn wagon rides after the parade.


Holiday of Wonder-Holiday Parade-New London

When: Friday, December 7th
Time: 6 p.m.
Where:  Starts on S. Pearl St. and ends at Wolf River Plaza parking lot.
Details: The Reindeer Run begins at  5:30 p.m.. Festivities continue after the parade.  6:30-8:30 p.m. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at New London’s Grand Cinema Theatre.  The event ends with a FREE movie beginning at 9 p.m.

Ruth
Ruth was born in Green Bay and lived in the area until venturing off to UW Madison for college.  Her education led her to a life in retail.  Retail took her to Milwaukee, Charlotte, NC, and, eventually, back to Green Bay.  In 2014 she decided to pause her career to help her husband build his CPA firm.  Ruth & Chris reside in De Pere with their four children, Smith, Tess, Burke, & Jack.  As great as Green Bay summers are, Fall is Ruth’s favorite.  She loves the colors, crisp air, and, of course, football.  Ruth enjoys hanging out with the fam, reading up on the latest fashion, & savoring a nice glass of cabernet.
